Two positions dominate writing on this subject. One treats every reported encounter as evidence of a haunting. The other dismisses the whole thing and moves on. Both are boring, and both skip the genuinely interesting part — that a specific story has been told about a specific three-mile stretch of road for ninety years, and nobody can establish where it came from.

About the domain

This site is a rebuild. The domain resurrectionmary.com was registered around 2001 and carried a single small page about the legend before lapsing. For most of the following two decades it sat parked, and during that time its parking platform’s open-redirect endpoint was used heavily by spammers to launder links to gambling, pharmacy and adult sites.

Every one of those URLs now returns 410 Gone, and this site contains no redirect endpoint of any kind. That history is worth stating plainly rather than quietly burying — anyone examining this domain’s link profile will find it, and it explains what they are looking at.
